Introduction

The Ceiling Mounting Bracket CB-100 is very easy to use, and is suitable for attaching the Prismasonic lens to almost all digital projectors up to a load for 15 kg (33 lbs). It is possible to attach the bracket both ceiling (also slanting) and wall. The use of extension arms is not necessary, so it is also possible to mount the bracket very close to the ceiling if needed.

Mounting Instructions

It is necessary to attach the projector to the bracket at least from the three spots. There are many different ways to mount the projector to the bracket, but probable only one optimal solution. The most important thing is that the circular bracket plate is mounted to the centre of gravity of projector + lens combination. Note that the weight of lens is around 2,5-3 kg depending on the model.

Turn around your projector upside down and arrange the fastening arms on the bottom. The circular plate is attached to the projector with the aid of extension rods (example1), or long rods (example2) or straight using the expansion part (example3), depending on where the centre of gravity spot locates in relation to the screw threads of the projector body. Make sure that the both axes of the circular plate are at rectangular position related to the projector optics. There are M6x16, M5x16 and M4x16 screws, included to the packet, for attaching the bracket to the projector body, and M6x10 screws for attaching the extension rods to the circular plate (look examples). All the extension arms are attached between the projector and the circular plate. Tight the bolts first only a little.

The long arms, extending the projector's front edge, are attached to the circular plate with M6x10 screws and square nuts (example3), and to rectangular lens plate with M6x16 screws. Check that the lens will now be orthogonally as close as possible to the centre of the projector optics. Also it is good to note that you may have to tilt the lens to the direction of the light path (see Lens Manual). This lens tilting needs some more space between the projector optics and the lens. After everything is appropriately positioned make the final tightening of all bolts.

With both projector and lens attached, install the universal mounting kit now securely to the ceiling or wall (assembly parts not included). The ceiling mounting plate can be attached directly to the circular plate, or you can use the adjustable extension arms between them if needed.

Examples

Adjustable extension arm is attached to the projector and the circular plate. If the projector has perfectly a planar bottom only a tallest bottom spacer is needed between the projector and the rod. The rest washers may be needed if the bottom of projector is not planar.

The long arm is also possible to get attached directly to the projector. Use square nut for attaching the rod to the circular plate.

If needed it is also possible to attach the circular plate directly to the projector. In that case use the bottom spacer. Also the short arm is possible to be used without the extension part as shown.
