Product Description

    INTRODUCTION

Powered by custom made, high precision optics Prismasonic anamorphic lens brings a real cinematic atmosphere into your home theater. The lens makes a variable horizontal expand to the projected image from factors of 1 up to 1.33, thus supporting perfectly the constant height 2.37:1 Cinemascope setup. The 'pass' mode of the lens makes it possible to produce a normal wide screen picture with a 16:9 source material, without removing the lens. Also the other aspect ratios, such as 1.85:1 and 2.00:1 are possible due to this unique feature of a variable Prismasonic lens. This all means that despite of the aspect of a source material, your projector always presents a constant picture height with the full panel resolution, exactly as in real movie theaters.

    H-FE850R

The H-FE850 series models have three optical elements. The prisms of H-FE850 series have been finished by the optical glass using the highest possible specification parameters during the manufacturing process. The optical Front Element perfectly corrects the focus of an anamorphic expand, simultaneously for all horizontal expand factors. Moreover, all the optical surfaces have multicoated, broadband anti-reflection (AR) surfaces to prevent reflections and ghosting, and to maximize the light output of the projector.

The operation of H-FE850R lens is very straightforward. The other button of remote controller expands the image to fill the 2.37:1 screen, while the other returns it back to 16:9 (pass mode). There are adjustable terminal stops for both prisms and both modes, so the initial setup can easily be operated to match the different screens and projectors perfectly.

The power for the lens unit is fed by the 12 volts AC/DC adaptor. The motors are very silent, and it lasts around two seconds for prisms to go from 'pass' to 'wide' mode. This speed also enables you to stop the prisms accurately to the intermediate positions, such as 1.85:1 or 2.00:1.

The remote controller uses 12 volts battery. It has two powerful IR leds, and can be controlled without problems even at the very largest theater rooms from the seat, via screen, back to lens unit. If one has a universal remote controller, it is possible to program it with the Prismasonic remote.

This lens is available in black finished aluminium. A professional table stand has friction based, individual controls for both height and tilt adjustments. As a nice feature the housing has a removable bottom plate. So if needed, it is possible to clean the prims from both sides.
